Said the Whale joined Seattle at The Tractor Tavern in Seattle recently touring in support of the recently dropped EP I Love You. It’s a three-track window into their most recent album effort still taking shape with a release due this fall. It’s a little more indie pop than before and it’s just as damn good. Said the Whale describes the tracks as “the most upbeat songs from a collection of 17 tracks that we’ve recorded since we began work on the album in January”.

The EP is a perfect fit for the summer and might be well accompanied by Said the Whale’s recently released beer. “What?” you ask. Don’t you worry, I’ll feed you baby bird. Townsite Brewing, based in Powell River British Colombia has thrown down a beer dedicated to Said the Whale aptly named “Said The Ale”
Their live show was incredible, as we’ve come to expect from the Canadian quintet. They played songs across their entire catalog reaching deep for some and feeding the crowd some of their hits as well while sprinkling in the new fantastic I Love You EP material. As is their style, they accompanied each song with a story about the song’s origins. These guys are a never miss live show.
