This Friday Counting Crows and Broken Lizard sketch comedy group will be performing at the John Anson Ford Theater. Here are three huge reasons why I’m absolutely ecstatic to go:
3. I’ve never been to the theater but I hear it’s awesome. About the John Anson Ford Theater, Yelp has given it 5/5 stars and the first review says, “If you have a chance to see a show here– do not miss the opportunity! The stage is in a magical outdoor setting, so intimate with a family and neighborhood feel– just wonderful.” Classy: check.
2. The Broken Lizard (best known for the fantastic comedies Supertroopers and Beer Fest) will be performing. Apparently they teamed up with frontman of the Counting Crows Adam Duritz to create a movie called Freeloaders that they will play on Friday. The movie is described as, “a sort of tongue-in-cheek story about a group of loveable slackers living in the home of their super famous rock star friend…and what happens when they have to move out.” Laughter: check.
1. Counting Crows will be playing. Songs like “Mr. Jones” and “Tuesday and Amsterdam” have permeated the airwaves since long before my teen years so it’s about time that I see this awesome American Rock Band live. Good Tunes: check.
