Winning the prize for one of the strangest band name circulating the music scene right now (next to Neon Dick and Nude Boy) is The Gay Blades. The duo will be releasing their sophomore album Savages on October 5th on Triple Crown Records/ILG. They’ve toured with bands like Cursive, MGMT, The Black Lips, Matt and Kim, Ra Ra Riot, Jack’s Mannequin, Juliette Lewis, and Electric Six and they’ve managed to build their following on “their side-stepping demeanor, their unpredictable live shows, and, of course, their unhinged manic sound.”
